Mens Chain Lengths
A very short length necklace for men that will sit on the T-shirt collar. The type of chain worn at this length is normally a thick cuban link which will then be layered with longer length (22" or 24"). Another popular type of necklace for men to wear at this length is a wooden beaded necklace, this is fairly common as a surf look.
A 20" long chain is a loose collar chain and will normally fall right at the collarbone. Any pendant attached will hide under a crew neck or show or be on full display with a low V-neck T-shirt. Again this shorter length chain will often be layered with a 22 or 24" chain with pendant
22" Is our shortest stand alone length. Probably the most common length for all fashion genres and styles across the board it will drop a few inches below a collar bone as is the normal length for a pendant to be worn at.
Long amongst general standards the 24" necklace will sit just above the sternum. This length is very common in urban fashion along with longer styles.
For those who truly want their chain swinging' the 28" chain is the way to go. These are again highly common in streetwear culture perhaps the go to length for anybody searching for a long chain be it gold, silver or black. This length will drop around the solar plexus and looks dope with a pendant.
Womens Chain Lengths
A super small length that fits like a choker
This length will drop perfectly around the base of the neck like similarly to a collar. For petite sized woman it will sit onto your collarbone while for a plus size women it might sit a little more like a choker.
A highly common choice for women that will fall just below the throat at the collarbone. This length is popular for adding pendants which will hang over a crew neck.
Will fall a few inches below the collarbone and allow a little more breathing room. Perfect for a low, plunging neckline or if you want to wear it over a turtleneck.
A popular longer length measurement that will sit at or above a low neckline top.
This will sit around roughly at the solar plexus.
This is a popular length with pearl strands and long bead necklaces. at 36" it will hang above the naval.
